Agreement to the reservation terms.

TERMS AND CONDOTIONS OF Changdeokgung Palace Tour program TICKET RESERVATIONS

Article 1 Purpose

The purpose of this agreement is to prescribe the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between uFORUS Co. Ltd. that Changdeokgung Palace authorizes to operate the Internet Reservation System of the Changdeokgung Palace Tour program (hereinafter referred to as “Tour”) and the user making reservations for admission tickets of the Tour (hereinafter referred to as “Tickets”) on the Internet Reservation System of the Tour (hereinafter referred to as “Tour Reservation”).

Article 2 Definition

  • ①“Tour Reservation” means the information communication system that the Tour established for offering information and/or services to users and enabling them to buy the Tickets by the use of information communication facilities such as computers or smart phones (using at least 3G networks) and information communication networks.
  • ②“User” means the individual who receive offers from Tour’s service, pursuant to these provisions, and by connecting to the Tour Reservation.

Article 3 Definitions of Tickets available on the System

  • 1.“Youth” means the individual aged 7 years or older but under the age of 18.
  • 2.“Seniors” means the individual aged 65 year or older.
  • 3.“Adult” means the individual aged 19 year or older but the age of 64.

Article 4 Other Regulations

  • ①uFORUS Co. Ltd. is responsible for protecting personal information that users entered when establishing their account or using Tour Reservation.
  • ②With regard to items which are not described in these provisions and interpretation of these provisions, they will follow laws on consumer protection of e-commerce, laws on regulation of provisions, consumer protection directives in e-commerce, related laws, and/or customary practices.

Article 5 Ticket Reservations

  • ①The Tour Reservation offers information and services for buying admission tickets of the Tour via it.
  • ②The user may make reservations directly on the Tour Reservation according to the internet reservation procedure, and the Tour will not be responsible for any omission and/or misapplication of the User’s’ selections that may incur as a result of his/her negligence.

Article 6 Reservation Application

  • ①The user makes reservations according to the following procedures.
    • 1.Establishing a user account (Official Authentication, name, e-mail, cellular phone number, user ID and password) and logging on
    • 2.Selecting a date, an admission time, and admission numbers
    • 3.Paying by a credit card (if applicable)
  • ② The Tour will disuse all personal information such as name, e-mail, cellular phone number, user ID and password immediately within 6 months after the latest day of visit.

Article 7 Establishment of Reservation

  • ①The Tour complies with a request of reservation application according to the procedures set forth in article 6.
  • ②The Tour provides the My Ticket(s) page where a user can check out reservation status in the list immediately after paying for it. In the event that the user is negligent in checking it or approval request of the user’s credit card fails, any canceled status will not be the Tour’s responsibility.

Article 8 Checking Reservation Tickets

  • ①Immediately after reservation establishment, the Tour plus the new reservation order to user’s reservation list provided on the reservation service page so that users may be aware of them.
  • ②In the event that access network is not stable, the user may make a phone call to the Tour in order to check out reservation status.
  • ③Checking reservation status is the user’s sole responsibility but not the Tour’s.

Article 9 Admission Tickets

  • ①A reservation confirmation is the right to receive a real ticket at the ticket office after payment.
  • ②After issuing and getting a reserved ticket, the user is responsible for protecting it from breakage, missing, or theft.

Article 10 Payment Method

Credit card and cash payment ars payment methods to purchase tour program tickets at ticket office and KIOSK after reservation.

Article 11 Reservation Status

A user must check out reservation status in the list on the My Ticket(s) page. If there is no order detail or its status is not reserved, the reservation application is considered as failure.

Article 12 Issuing Tickets

  • ①In the event that users who made reservations get their tickets at the Box-office or KIOSK after payment, they should show reservation number, name, or phone number in a way of identification.
  • ②Therefore, the users should show their ID card if the Tour request
  • ③Normally the users should come to the ticket office and receive their tickets 20 minutes before the reserved use time.

Article 13 Mobile Ticket

  • ①A user can show mobile tickets booked on the official mobile website when he/she arrive the ticket office.
  • ②In the event that a user receives a mobile ticket in the smart-phone, the user should show the ticket and pay for it.

Article 14 Cancellation of Tickets

  • ①Cancellation of tickets can be made within stipulated period but is not allowed to after the due date.
  • ②The Tour provides notification of the contents of these cancellation guidelines on the reservation service page so that users may be aware of them.
  • ③The user must come to the ticket office of the Tour one hour before the time and request to cancel your order if the user wants to cancel it on the visiting day.
  • ④Any cancellation of reservation or refund of ticket cannot be allowed after the beginning of the time.
  • ⑤The Tour reserves the right to cancel all or some of reservation tickets as in each of the following items.
    • 1. Where a reservation order has exceeded stipulated limit (up to 10 tickets per a day)
    • 2. Where a user has sold his/her reservation tickets to others
    • 3. Where a user has performed acts of displaying information that goes against the Tour’s operational policies, good public orders or morals such as obscene or violent messages of image or voice.
  • ⑥Booked tickets should be purchased 20 minutes prior to the tour.If not, the reservation automatically expires.

Article 15 Changes of Tickets

In the event that a user wants to change amount and/or use time of purchased tickets, user’s sole remedy shall be to make a new reservation and cancel the previous purchase.

Article 16 Notice

  • ①The tour time and course are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstance.
  • ②Please allow yourself 20 minutes to get to the secret garden from the main gate.
  • ③Tours leave on scheduled time, no late entry is allowed.

Article 17 Exemption Provisions

  • ①The Tour reserves the right and responsibility to cancel and/or issue a ticket.
  • ②Cancellation and refunds of tickets is subject to the Tour’s operational policies.

Article 18 Settlement of Dispute

  • ①The Tour tries always to reflect and/or cope with fair opinions or claims by users.
  • ②The Tour shall promptly and properly cope with claims and/or opinions offered by users. However, in the event that prompt settlement is not available, it shall provide notification of the cause and date of settlement immediately.
  • ③The Tour may follow the reconciliation of the committee on an e-commerce dispute, which is established on the basis of basic e-commerce laws and their enforcement rules, in the event of the occurrence of an e-commerce dispute between the Tour and users.

Article 19 Competent Court and Proper Law

  • ①The Tour shall file a lawsuit on an e-commerce dispute, which may occur between the Tour and users, to the Seoul District Court.
  • ②The law of Republic of Korea shall be applied to an e-commerce lawsuit between the Tour and users.

Additional rules(valid from 01.Jan.2019)

  • 1. This agreemnet is valid from 01.Jan.2019.
  • 1. All the reservation occured before 01.Jan.2019 is also effective from this agreement.
  • 3. Add 'Payment policy' as below.
    • - Credit card and cash payment are payment methods to purchase tour program tickets at ticket office and KIOSK.
    • - Only Credit card is payment method in case of internet reservation. You must pay for it before deadline of payment. If not, the reservation is cancelled automatically.
    • - After paymnet, you can issue the ticket at ticket office or KIOSK on the due date. Also you can use the mobile ticket on same day.
  • 4. Add 'Cancellation/Refund policy(included penalty policy)' as below.
    • - You have to check cancellation/refund policy(included penalty policy). Penalty depends on the time of cancellation, the type of Tour reservation.
    • ▶ General tour
      - Full refund : Earlier than 2 hours before the last admission time.
      - 90% Refund : Less than 2 hours before the last admission time.
      - No refund : After the ticket sales closing time.(After the last admission time)
    • ▶ Secret Garden Guided Tour
      - Full refund : Earlier than 2 hours before the tour starts.
      - 90% Refund : Less than 2 hours before the last admission time.
      - No refund : After the starting time of the tour.

Privacy Policy

The Internet Reservation System of Changdeokgung Palace Tour program (hereinafter referred to as the “Tour Reservation”) thoroughly protects users' personal information. This Privacy Policy is subject to changes according to the laws of the Republic of Korea and the policy of the Tour Reservation. Users can review the most current version of the Privacy Policy on the Tour Reservation website at any time.

1. Collecting Personal Information

The Tour Reservation collects personal information from the information users entered when registering. The Tour Reservation may also collect specific information on computer hardware and software. The information, including users' IP addresses, type of browsers, name of domain, time of access and website addresses, is used in order to manage the Tourk Reservation, increase the service quality and make general statistics about the Tour Reservation users.

2. Keeping and Disuse of Personal Information

While you take a service from the Tour Reservation as a member, The Tour Reservation keeps your personal information and uses it for providing better service. But if you secede from The Tour Reservation through the process of the membership cancellation according to the Terms of Service, then The Tour Reservation will remove your information from its hard disks by the method that The Tour Reservation cannot restore the seceder’s personal information. The Tour Reservation will be unable to see or use it in any way.

3. Use of Personal Information

The Tour Reservation does not expose users' personal information to the third parties or other companies without users’ consent. But The Tour Reservation can release it if forced by legal procedures, or in case of urgent circumstances for protecting the public safety.

The Tour Reservation shall provide third parties or delegated companies of the Tour Reservation such as electronic payment companies with the personal information of its consented members in order to charge admission fees whenever users make reservations.

The delegated companies to which personal information is provided, the provided information, and the purpose of using the provided information shall be as follows:

  • Information Recipient : KskyB, Inc. (SMS service company)
  • Provided Information: Reservation status and phone number
  • Use Purposes: to send SMS massage(reservation status) by KskyB, Inc.
  • Period of Use: until 6 months after the latest day of visit
  • Disadvantages upon Non-consent: cannot use the internet reservation system at all.

4. Security Policy for the Personal Information

User's personal information is thoroughly protected by password. The Tour Reservation tries to protect personal information from the use without permission by using the latest security technology.

5. Use of Cookies

The Tour Reservation saves users' information and uses cookies on occasion for providing services adapted to the users. Cookies are text files installed in user's hard disk by website's server.
You can accept or reject Cookies by setting your web browser.

6. Questions and Suggestions

If you have opinions or complaints about the Tour Reservation Privacy Policy, contact us at the following address. The Tour Reservation will do whatever possible to resolve any complaints or to clarify these Terms of Service.

The Changdeokgung Palace does not expose users' personal information to the third parties or other companies without users’ consent. But The Tour Reservation can release it if forced by legal procedures, or in case of urgent circumstances for protecting the public safety.

The Changdeokgung Palace shall provide third parties or delegated companies of the Tour Reservation such as SMS messaging service company with the personal information of its consented members in order to charge admission fees or send SMS whenever users make reservations.

The delegated companies to which personal information is provided, the provided information, and the purpose of using the provided information shall be as follows:

  • - Provided Information: Mobile phone number
  • - Use Purposes: Send SMS massage(reservation status)
  • - Period of Use: Delete after sent SMS

2. Development and maintenance company for the internet reservation system

  • - Information Recipient : uforus co.ltd.
  • - Provided Information: not applicable
  • - Use Purposes: development and maintenance for the system
  • - Period of Use: not applicable

Disadvantages upon Non-consent: cannot use the internet reservation system at all.
